Joe Biden

Blog 9: Press Conference

Joe Biden is appearing in the news today in a number of media outlets. However, he is not covering stories about his policies or what he plans to do after being elected the next President of the United States. The media outlets are not covering his political campaign. Joe Biden is not visiting around the country to states that he is seeking to win over. He is not putting out election commercials or flyers on every city block. Joe Biden is not standing up giving glorious and persuasive speeches about America’s future; ok well maybe he is still giving speeches. While the mainstream media might not be following Joe Biden’s battle to become the next president, Joe Biden is following a battle. That battle is in college football where the Syracuse Orange will be taking on N0 1å. Clemson.
Yes, it is obviously true that Joe Biden has decided not to join in on the race for President. This means that there are not recent news stories about Joe Biden running for president. Because of this I am going to take a wild guess and say that no, the media is not writing about my candidate in a way that will set him up well for the 2016 presidential campaign. A crazy statement I know, but non the less no matter what the media does at this point Joe Biden will not be elected the next president because he is not running.
Since I have been able to cover the questions about current media setting up Joe Biden for the 2016 election in very few words due to the unique position of my particular candidate, I will still continue to describe what the news is talking about in terms of Joe Biden today because after all, he is still our Vice President. The most recent article out there today is covering Joe Biden’s speech at Syracuse University. The media outlet is TigerNet.com – the source for Clemson sports information (http://www.tigernet.com/update/player/Joe-Biden-upset-Clemson-21164 ).
Joe Biden spoke at Syracuse University to the students and staff about sexual assault. Specifically the “It’s On Us Campaign”. Over 250,000 students have already pledged to the It’s On Us Campaign to raise awareness about sexual assault. There main goals were laid out in the article when referring to what the It’s On Us campaign is trying to accomplish. “To intervene instead of being a bystander.
To recognize that any time consent is not – or cannot – be given, it is sexual assault and it is a crime. To do everything you can to create an environment where sexual assault is unacceptable, and all survivors are supported”. While this is a very important cause Joe Biden also had to chime in on the football game in which the Syracuse Orange will be taking on N0 1. Clemson. "This Saturday when you play No. 1 Clemson, you get up there and yell," Biden said." I promised them I'd be wearing orange — northern Syracuse Orange," he said. "I'll tell you what. I'm looking for an upset." It’s a good thing Joe Biden said this after withdrawing from the presidential race because I’m sure he would get a few less votes from the University of Clemson after that statement.
